Sunday the 27th of November some of our favourite chefs (BAK Restaurant, Euro Pizza, Klaproos and Tom Barrett) will take over our wood oven and treat you with some special never made before made pizza's. Troppo Giovane and Sec Wines will be taking care of the winelist.
This Sunday and the next, chef Tom Barrett will prepare a comforting 3 course menu in the style of humble French provincial cuisine. Carried out with care and skill, without extravagance or pretension and with focus on the quality of the ingredient.
In a climactic end to over two years of work at Bambino, Tom cooks a pop-up Surinamese Lunch in remembrance of Rachel and in celebration of new beginnings. Fried delights such as curried samosa and bakabana with peanut sauce are served with homemade Gingabiri and to finish coconut ice cream with rum, lime zest and smoked salt.
While at Rosie's, Tom and Rachel launched a Pop-up Warung showcasing the food of Rachel's Javanese-Surinamese heritage. They served traditional dishes, such as were cooked by her mother and grandmother, executed with the immaculate precision of french trained chefs.
